Our conviction is, in the words of John Stott, that "Preaching is indispensable to Christianity. Without preaching a necessary part of its authenticity has been lost." However, with Michael Green, we are concerned that "The standard of preaching in the modern world is deplorable."

The principles that lie behind expository preaching are not only applicable to those who preach in the more formal setting of a church Sunday service, but also are the basic framework around which all Bible study and preparation for any form of Bible teaching should be done.

With the encouragement of a number of local churches we offer support and training in this most vital of ministry disciplines. Those teaching the course will be men with considerable experience in pastoral and preaching ministries and who are passionate about encouraging dynamic expository preaching.

It is anticipated that this ministry of the College will develop significantly in coming years but at the moment there are four aspects to it.

1. Diploma in Expository Preaching

2. Diploma in Biblical Exposition (online)

This course is designed to equip Bible teachers and preachers with the necessary skills for correctly handling Scripture. Whether you are a preacher, a teacher, responsible for a Bible study group or just want to get more out of your Bible, this course will give you the tools you need...   more

3. Regional Seminars

It is hoped to facilitate a number of regional seminars to train and encourage preachers, making more widely available the core ingredients of the Diploma in Expository Preaching course.

4. Annual Expositors' Conference

An annual Expositors' Conference is held at the College, bringing together preachers and Bible teachers for three days of mutual encouragement through seminars and plenary sessions. Gifted, well-known preachers will be invited to model and teach principles of expository preaching.

The 2010 Expositors' Conference will be from the evening of Monday 23rd to Thursday 26th August. The main speakers will be Rev Craig Dyer and Rev John D Brand.
