Rev John D Brand (Principal) Following training at the Bible Training Institute in Glasgow John pastored churches in London and Liverpool before joining the home staff of Aim International where, for 8 years, he was European Director. John is the author of 'Mission Matters' and ministers at churches and conferences both in UK and overseas. He is currently working towards a Ph.D in the Theology of Expository Preaching. John joined the College staff in 2007 as Vice-Principal and was appointed Principal in 2009. He lectures in Theology, Homiletics, Missiology and Bible Exegesis. eleven years doing Area work in England and District work in Scotland.
June joined the College staff in 1996, lectures in various Bible books
and serves as Counsellor to the female students. The College also benefits from the input of a number of external lecturers, including: Ian Balfour MA, LLB, BD, Ph.D Alongside a career with a family law practice, Ian has had a lifetime interest in Church History. In 1980, he completed a part-time Doctorate of Philosophy at New College, Edinburgh on Tertullian, a second century lawyer converted in his thirties. Ian lectured for many years at the Scottish Baptist College and, since retirement from active legal practice, has gone three times to the Asia Theological Seminary in Manila, to assist in their undergraduate and post-graduate Church History departments. Ian teaches Church History at the College. Rev Angus Bayne B.Th(Hons), B.Ed, M.Th Moving from a career as a commercial artist, Angus graduated from Edinburgh University and has served in parishes in Scotland, South Africa and Canada. He taught English and Art in a Canadian High School in Toronto for several years. He loves to teach Scripture and working with young Christians always gladdens his heart. At the College, Angus teaches Communication Skills. Alex McLellan BA, MA Alex is the Founder and Executive Director of Reason Why, a Scottish Bible teaching and apologetics ministry. Alex completed his BA in Communications from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago before gaining his MA in Philosophy of Religion from Talbot School of Theology in Los Angeles. He worked as an itinerant evangelist/Bible teacher with the Heralds Trust before starting this apologetics ministry based in Scotland. Alex lectures in Apologetics at the College. Michael Luehrmann Michael is assistant pastor at Carrubbers Christian Centre in Edinburgh. He studied at The Master's Seminary before coming over to Edinburgh in 2004. He is currently finishing an MTh in Historical Theology. He is married to Emily and they have three children: Anna, Elijah & Rosie.
Rev Frank Parker M.Th With a background in Local Government, Frank studied at the Apostolic
Church Bible College and pastored churches for 23 years before gaining
his M.Th by distance learning. A published author, he lectures regularly
in the College as well as mentoring those enrolled in the 'Into the
Word' Correspondence Course.
Rev John A Riddell MA BD A graduate in Arts & Divinity from The University of Edinburgh,
John served for 40 years as minister of Trinity Parish Church, Jedburgh
(Scottish Borders), and is Chaplain to the Psychiatric Units at the
Borders General Hospital, Melrose. The main focus of his ministry has
been exposition of Scripture. He has a pastor's heart. Rev Dr Alexander M Roger BD Formerly Principal of the College and National Adviser in Religion to the Scottish Prison Service, Sandy has also held two pastorates in Scotland and England. For five years he was Senior Evangelist at Cliff College, the Methodist centre for evangelism and mission. Currently Minister of Middle Church, Coatbridge, he exercises a national and international Bible teaching ministry, with a special interest in evangelistic preaching. He lectures in theology and homiletics. Administration StaffDaniel Chambers (Bursar) Following a career in Insurance Claims Investigation, Danny trained
at The Faith Mission Bible College. He joined the College staff in 1996
after serving with the Faith Mission as an Area Worker in NW England and
a District Superintendent in NE Scotland. He is responsible for
administrative and financial aspects of the College. Jenny Kilpatrick (Ladies Supervisor) Jenny comes from Co Tyrone, Northern Ireland, graduated from FMBC in
2004 and served the Lord with The Faith Mission in Northern Ireland for 3
years in Ballymena and Omagh. She returned to FMBC in September 2007
as a staff member and also fulfils the role of Outreach Coordinator. Scott Worth (Property Manager) Sent as missionaries to Scotland by GO! Ministries, Scott and his wife,
Patti, are working alongside Calvary Chapel in
Danderhall. Their home church is Crossroads Church, California. An
electrician by trade, Scott looks after the ongoing maintenance of the
College building. Patti Worth (House Manager) Born and raised near Los Angels, California, USA, Patti was has been involved in Church activities from an early age and was very involved in church worship. The Lord has used Patti in the area of worship as a leader and a teacher. At FMBC Patti is responsible for accommodation and works with the students in their domestic duties and special projects. Valerie Robertson (Librarian) Valerie joined the College staff in 1999 and uses her experience from working in various educational libraries to ensure the smooth running of the Govan Stewart Memorial Library within the College.
Alistar Frater (College Secretary) Following a career in the Royal Navy (Communications Branch), Alistar
has used his administration and IT skills with various organisations
prior to coming to work in the College Office in 2007.
John Frame (Chef) John uses the experience gained working in top-class restaurants to ensure the College's nutritional needs are catered for. |
